S12/Albany Municipal

Albany airport is nestled in the north-east corner of the intersection of I-5 and US-20. My main purpose to travel to Albany is for some of the great aviation events hosted in the convention center at the north-east corner of the field. Some lucky pilots get to park their planes up there in the limited parking. The rest of us park on the west-center of the field at the FBO. If there is an event in the center then there will be a shuttle bus running from the FBO to the center.

There is a motel at the south end of the field as well, so this would be a good place to stop overnight if the weather blocks you. I have been told you can taxi right up to the back gate of the Motel.

There is also a Chinese restaurant called Lum Yuen at the south end. I hear it has passable Chinese food.
