Do not let the Class C discourage you! The KPDX tower folks are friendly and easy to work with. Only problem is they assume you know their procedures. Just ask when in doubt and you will be fine. Arriving from the south they will have you fly over the field midfield and enter the pattern for the north runway. The folks at Flightcraft are low-key but always ready to help. Just ask and their shuttle will spare you the short walk to the passenger terminal. They'll also get you a limo in to town. The MAX now goes to KPDX but I have not tried that yet.

Warning: I have never gotten permission to pass through the Class C when the weather is bad. Just assume you will have to go around it.
