4S3/Joseph State

Joseph sits in the shadow of the American Alps. A great view of the mountains but the airport is on substantial level ground with only the usual urban obstructons nearby. You are probably 1/2 mile from the center of this artsy town. If you call one of the foundries you can get a ride in to town. Yes, foundries. Joseph is the worlds largest center of Herculean (hard) Bronze casting. There are several foundries and a number of galleries. Amazing work like you would find in the most high class art galleries anywhere, out in the middle of nowhere. A great place to spend a day window shopping. Go on a weekday and you might even get to see bronze being poured. I have not done it, but there is also a tram up mountain.
